Biography:

Ava Starr, known as Ghost, is a character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), first appearing in the movie *Ant-Man and the Wasp* (2018).

Due to a quantum experiment gone wrong involving her parents, Ava suffers from "quantum entanglement," causing her molecules to become unstable and phase in and out of reality. This condition gives her the abilities of intangibility and invisibility, but also causes her constant pain.

Recruited by S.H.I.E.L.D. operative Bill Foster, Ghost is manipulated into becoming a weapon. Her goal in *Ant-Man and the Wasp* is to obtain quantum energy to stabilize her condition, putting her in conflict with Ant-Man and the Wasp.

It is expected that she will appear in the *Thunderbolts* film, although her specific role is not confirmed at this time.
